Heffler administered almost 3,000 claim forms in the Packaged Ice matter. During the notification phase, Counsel mailed three Notices to participants in the class. During the administration phase, Heffler established a custom website, which provided answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs); provided access to view and print important documents (such as the full class notice, printed claim form, settlement agreement and court orders); provided access to various lists; and provided explanations for important dates (such as deadlines for exclusion requests, objections and claim filing). The website was updated frequently as events warranted. Claimants whose claims were found to be deficient in any way were sent a letter describing the deficiency and detailing steps to take in order to correct their claim.
